Our Work
Every project we undertake is rooted in our mission to promote inclusion, dignity, and opportunity for refugees, asylum seekers, and minority communities in the North East.
This particular project was designed to address a real need we identified through direct engagement with the people we serve. It’s about removing barriers, building confidence, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
Here, you’ll find the story behind the project—why it matters, who it supports, and the impact we aim to achieve. From the initial idea to the milestones we’ve reached, this page gives you a window into the heart of our work.
By sharing our journey, we hope to inspire others to stand with us, get involved, and help create lasting change in the lives of those who need it most.

Children’s Language & Learning Clubs
Our weekly clubs give children the chance to strengthen their English skills while having fun. With games, storytelling, and creative activities, we help young people adapt to their new environment, thrive at school, and feel confident in expressing themselves.
Women’s Empowerment Workshops
Through skills training, mentorship, and confidence-building activities, we help women from refugee and minority communities develop pathways to independence. These workshops create safe spaces where women can connect, share experiences, and learn new skills that open doors to employment and entrepreneurship.

Health & Wellbeing Activities
From group walks to mental health workshops, we promote wellbeing as a key part of integration. These activities not only improve health but also help participants form friendships and supportive networks.
Family Support & Advice Sessions
We provide one-on-one support for families navigating the challenges of settling into a new country. From housing and healthcare guidance to educational advice, these sessions ensure families feel informed and supported every step of the way.
